ABOUT THE AUTHOR

A Longbourn Lady is the umbrella imprint for stay-at-home mom of five and author Allison Smith, who also writes steamy regency, and modern Jane Austen variations under two pen names (to keep the sweet and steamy separate for ease of reader browsing.)

Allison paused a career in teaching in order to stay at home with her young children and has turned her love of reading, creative writing, and Mr Darcy into a new adventure.

Allison's proofreading team includes her sixteen-year-old daughter who balances homeschooling with final reads of sweet variations. (And helping mom with dinner on late writing nights!) Dear Daughter is also going to take over the website so chapters have some hope of regular updates. Allison taught herself basic graphic design and is the designer of all her covers.

We plan on posting a tentative publishing schedule soon so readers will know what titles are currently in progress and when chapters will be posted. The goal is a full length sweet variation three times a year and a steamy novella twice a year. I will be using the Nora Roberts methodbottom in chair six hours a day, five days a week, four weeks a month. Wish me luck!

I'm going to need it, and plenty of strong black tea. Recommendations of your favorite high-caff blends are MOST welcome.
